How to commission a sculpture designed and made to your requirements ...

I have, over many years, formulated a commission process that works for the ease of the customer. Most people who commission a sculpture know they want something - they just don’t know what that something is. It is my job to help them turn that vague desire into something solid, first through designs on paper and then by creating that special sculpture to enhance their home, garden, office or building.
Stage 1 - Outline discussions
Meeting with the client to discuss basic requirements - size, materials, theme, situation, budget (most people have a limit in mind of what they wish to spend). This first meeting is usually on site but can be here at the studio or, occassionally, is even done by phone and photographs.
Stage 2 - First designs
Based on those discussions I work on a series of 5 or 6 basic designs which enable you to visualise the ideas from which we can establish the final design.
Stage 3 - Final design
Once the final design is approved, a deposit is paid and work on the sculpture itself can then begin.
Stage 4 - Sculpture in progress
You will be kept informed throughout the progress of your sculpture and are invited to view it during the sculpting period and when it is completed prior to delivery and installation.
